Preparation Instructions

Chicken Tikka (Barbecue Spicy Chicken)

Ingredients:

  • ½ kg Chicken (cut into 4 pieces) or 2 chickens (750g each)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Paste (25g)
  • 8 tablespoons Lemon Juice (from 5-6 fresh lemons)
  • ½ cup Butter/Ghee/Cooking Oil (75g)
  • 1 packet Laziza Chicken Tikka Masala

Method:

  1. Wash the chicken and make 3-4 horizontal and vertical cuts on each piece.
  2. Mix Laziza Chicken Tikka Masala, lemon juice, and ginger paste. Apply thoroughly to the chicken and leave it to marinate for 2-3 hours.
  3. Skewer the chicken and grill over a low heat (coal or gas) until golden brown. Rotate the chicken, applying butter/ghee/oil until fully cooked and tender.
  4. Serve with salad, tamarind or yogurt chutney, and parathas.

Alternative (Without Oven or Coal Fire):

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2, adding butter/ghee/oil.
  2. Place the marinated chicken in a pot, cover, and cook on low heat until tender.
  3. Heat a piece of coal until red hot. Place it in a small cup inside the pot, pour a teaspoon of ghee/oil on the coal, and cover the pot immediately to capture the smoke. Wait 6-10 minutes before serving.
