Preparation:
Spice mix for Indian lentil soup: Wash and chop vegetables such as aubergines, okra, potatoes, peas and cauliflower. Boil 200g Toor Dal (Toor lentils) in 800ml water for approx. 30 min. Soak tamarind in 100ml water for half an hour, squeeze and add the resulting juice to the Toor Dal. In another pot, fry 100g of roughly chopped red onion and 100g of chopped tomatoes. Add the vegetables, 20g MDH Sambar Masala and some salt and cook for 5 mins, stirring occasionally. Then add the Toor Dal with the water to the vegetables and cook for about 20 minutes.
