Ingredients

  • Spices & Herbs: Red Chili, Coriander, Cumin, Black Pepper, Black Cumin, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves, Fenugreek Leaves, Carom, Pomegranate Seeds, Mango Powder, Ginger, Garlic, Onion
  • Other Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Salt, Cane Sugar, Maltodextrin, Canola Oil
  • Additives: Citric Acid (Acidity Regulator), Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking Agent)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Finely dice 3 medium onions (250g) and squeeze out excess liquid using a cloth.
  2. Add chopped cilantro (fresh coriander) and 1-2 whisked eggs to the diced onions.
  3. Dissolve 1 packet of Shan Chapli Kabab Mix in ½ cup water and mix well with the above ingredients. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut 1-2 medium tomatoes into thin, round slices. Shape the mixture into flat, thin kababs/patties with wet hands and press a tomato slice onto one side of each.
  5. Heat 500ml (3 cups) cooking oil and shallow fry the kababs/patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  6. Serving Suggestion: Serve hot with fresh salad and Shan Tamarind Chutney or Shan Green Chutney.

Pro Tip:

For a richer taste, add 100g-200g beef bone marrow and ½ cup maize flour to the meat mixture.
